Florent Monssoh, Founder & CEO
Florent Monssoh has over 30 years of managerial and entrepreneurial experience, providing Information Technology services for the healthcare and veterinary industries. Mr. Monssoh has founded or co-founded several companies, including Medic Services which provides physician staffing solutions in France, telemedicine suppliers Activ4Pets and Activ Doctors Online, Internet service provider Sky World, engineering consultancy firm MGL, and the European Stock Exchange-quoted technology firm Aubay, making him the first French African to have founded a company that went public.
As a Telemedicine innovator, Mr. Monssoh is passionate about expanding veterinary options in the digital arena. His venture into veterinary telemedicine, Activ4Pets, led him to recognize the urgent requirement for virtual staffing solutions in veterinary practices, commenting, “The vision that took root in France, I wanted to take into other sectors. Activ4Vets allows veterinarians to easily overcome staffing limitations with a range of innovative solutions. As well as traditional staffing services, veterinarians now have a resource to cover clients for after hours consultations or due to staff absence through Virtual Visits, as well as expand diagnosis options for complex cases through online Second Medical Opinions.”
Kimberly Heeney, VP, Operations
With over 25 years in the healthcare industry, Kimberly’s experience in human medicine has provided the expertise and rigor necessary to bring real telemedicine to the animal health space.
Her experience spans many aspects of healthcare, and includes active practice, pharmacy, and Kimberly’s passion for healthcare, pets and animal welfare work is what drove her to propose that Activ Doctors Online make the leap from human to animal health.

Kimberly is formally trained in Forensic Psychology Specialization and Legal Studies at Barry University and as a Mental Health / Addiction Therapist at the University of Miami. She is an active member of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and collaborates with a number of organizations to support women, children and pets issues, which she is very passionate about.
Kevin Kimber, M.S., D.V.M., Chief Veterinary Medical Officer
Dr. Kimber has a Masters in Zoology from Cornell University, and he graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and currently maintains Veterinary licensure in the States of New York and Minnesota, with licensure pending in Florida.
Dr. Kimber possesses over 15 years of relief experience practicing Small Animal and Exotic Medicine with clinical interests in dermatology, internal medicine, preventive medicine, infectious diseases and epidemiology, behavior, preventive medicine, behavior, dentistry, nutrition, and ophthalmology. He also has special interests in zoonotic disease, infectious diseases at the wildlife/domestic animal interface, and One Health issues.
In addition to his veterinary experience, Dr. Kimber has held a wide variety of other positions including within education and research programs at the local, state and international level, and even briefly as a professional ice hockey player.
Dr. Kimber is also a widely published author, having had publications in the New York Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Zoo and Wildlife Medicine and the Journal of Wildlife Diseases, among others.
He has visitation with his two dogs, Hank and Hattie, and resides with a black lab named Neeko, a golden retriever named Jarvis, and a cat named Gina. He enjoys spending time bird watching, fishing, canoeing, kayaking or sailing, and playing and coaching ice hockey and cross country skiing with his family.
Rachel Gelber, DVM
A native Texan, Dr. Rachel Gelber graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Texas Tech University, then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M. Dr. Gelber has worked at a variety of small animal clinics, from busy AAHA-certified practices to wellness and spay/neuter clinics. She has also served in several leadership positions, ranging from the Mansfield ISD agricultural advisory board to the Texas Veterinary Medical Association’s Leadership Development and Recent Graduate committees.
When not at work, she enjoys traveling, dancing, artistic endeavors, and spending time with her animals – Molly, a pitbull mix, and a cat named Detective Pickles. She is very excited to work with Activ4Vets!
Dory Andraos, VP, Marketing
Prior to joining Activ4Vets, Dory Andraos oversaw the marketing department of the Found Animals Foundation, an innovative tech and philanthropy-driven organization. In his role as VP of Marketing, Andraos developed the marketing strategic plan, and revamped and improved processes and procedures within the marketing department. Andraos also lead the effort to establish a new brand strategy that clearly positioned the organization as a unique, smart, bold, hip, collaborative and educational entity for pets and pet adopters.
After spending nine years on the ad agency side working on such high profile national clients as Nissan, Yamaha, Best Western and JCPenney, he entered the pet industry as the Director of New Client Acquisition Marketing for VCA, Inc. One of Andraos’ key accomplishments was to strategically develop the company’s animal shelter partnership program. He also led VCA’s customer acquisition digital search marketing campaigns and grew new client business revenue year-after-year.
